As women, throughout our lives we will go through changes that may affect our body shape.
We’ve all been there at one time or another…a few pounds have crept on here and there or maybe, for whatever reason a fair amount of weight has been lost.
It can be frustrating, disheartening and confidence crushing.
Suddenly your favourite blouse is too snug-buttons straining dangerously, threatening to reveal all.
Or the once clingy curvaceous jeans now make your legs feel like 2 sausages bursting to get out of their skin.
The other side of the coin is the once form fitting stylish dress is now hanging off you like a sack.
It can be hard to deal with and often these changes can really affect your self -esteem and confidence.
So now that we’ve established that these body shape changes can be challenging…. what can be done to help restore that glow? Get back that booty shaking confidence, or simply make you feel better going for a meal or popping to the shops?
UNDERWEAR! It’s the foundation that can transform a woman’s shape and the fit of her clothes.
Having a professional bra fit is essential after a significant change in weight to ensure that breasts are still being correctly supported and aren’t swinging loose or squished into a bra.
When a bra becomes too loose the band will not ‘stay put’ on the body. It will ride up the back and you know what ladies what goes up at the back comes down at the front!
The breasts will not be lifted up where they need to be and this will cause them to sag and bounce around. The fine cooper’s ligaments which are intertwined within the breast tissue will stretch and become less able to help support the breast tissue. Sadly, after these ligaments have stretched, they stay stretched. It would be great if they would ‘ping’ back but they refuse to do so! How rude! So, they need a good supportive bra to help them out.
If its extra pounds that have been gained (or a great many extra pounds) bras can become too small. The once comfortable cups now have breast bulging out of the top and sides-not a good look.
It may be necessary to opt for a totally different style to accommodate fuller or more deflated breasts.
This happens to us all at some stage…as we age, we can’t always wear the style of bra we used to wear as they simply don’t work for us anymore. Whilst this can take a bit of getting used to, see it as a new start-time for a change. Explore new styles and with a correctly fitting bra, embrace the new you!
Walk tall and enjoy the feeling of having well supported breasts that look fabulous in the correct style and size for you
You deserve to feel good about yourself.
Remember it’s what’s underneath that counts!
